Hello

Hello and thank you for visiting our bakery's website. In my first post I would really like to tell you more about me, my family and Express Bread bakery. My name is Ifeanyi and I am the owner of the Express Bread, me and my wife started this business in Edinburgh in January 2020, but this is definitely not when my bread adventure started. My dad was a baker in Nigeria, where I grew up, and my childhood and early adult life were always centered around bread and baking. From early age I helped to clean the tins, kneed the dough, wrap and seal the bread and deliver it to our customers. My dad always involved me in all the parts of running a bakery, and ever since I was wee I knew I will be a baker. In 2005, and my dream was still very much alive. It took a long time and a lot of hard work, but fifteen years after moving to my new home the bakery is finally a reality! It is a wonderful and exciting venture, combining my Nigerian heritage with my Scottish culture, and trying to teach my son the same thing my dad tough me: Working hard towards your dream always pays off.
